The Fairbanks Youth Hockey family that includes the Alaska Grizzlies Academy, the Alaska Grizzlies, and the Fairbanks Arctic Lions is a family of organizations built on the premises of training, developing, and advancing youth athletes in the sport of hockey. With almost 30 years of demonstrated history of moving players on to the next level, the family of organizations is sure to have a team that meets all your competitive needs.
ICE Puppies
The Alaska Grizzlies Accademy hosts the Ice Puppies 6U program is an in-house age group for entry level skaters ages 3-6 that employs the fundamental curriculum of USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM).
JR Grizzlies
The Alaska Grizzlies Academy also hosts the Jr Grizzlies 8U program and offers training for young hockey players based on groupings of like skill between the ages 7 and 8 that employs the fundamental curriculum of USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM) with several NAHA enhancements.
Grizzlies
The Alaska Grizzlies offer youth AA and A level teams with highly experienced, professional, committed and recognized coaching staffs with proven track records of developing players both on and off the ice with a commitment to affordable costs.
Lions
The Arctic Lions offer youth AAA and AA level teams with highly experienced, professional, committed and recognized coaching staffs with a focus on player advancement through established recruitment pipelines.
